With no new projects in the pipeline I have decided to update and restore the Predator costume I made in 2004. Details and pictures of the restoration will be posted on my 'Props and Costumes' page.

Mad panic here at Castle Phillips over the last two weeks! A very urgent job to finish off three 'Revenge' Cybermen costumes for the recording of an episode of a long running prime time BBC soap!
The costumes were thankfully completed in time and I was lucky enough to wear one of them for the recording which took place at BBC Elstree studios and on location at St Paul's cathederal in London.
Transmission date for the episode is w/c 11/02/08.
November the 10th and 11th saw the Hydefundraisers attend the 'Dimensions' Doctor Who convention in my hometown of Washington. A fantastic time was had by all who attended, with the HFR entertaining the crowds with Scarecrows, Clockwork droids, Robot Santa and my latest character costume 'Brannigan'.
About me
Ray Phillips is a painter, printmaker, sculptor and adult education tutor based in North East U.K. I have always been a painter, and have been a practicing professional artist since 1993. I have a wealth of experience in skill sharing, both in a classroom setting and in project/skills workshop environment. My past experience includes mural painting, school residencies (screen printing), one day workshops and adult education. Although specializing in oil painting whilst at university my work has developed into a range of different fields. In recent years my creative output has been almost exclusively driven by my involvement with The Hyde Fundraisers , a U.K based charity fundraising organisation with a unique approach to raising money for good causes. On the following pages you will find examples of my creative output from my art practice/employment. If you would like to comment on my work or would like more information on the work displayed on this site you can contact me Here
The above images are just a few of examples of my work. Please look at the specific topics in the navigation buttons for more information on the range of work I have undertaken in the past.

November the 2nd and the Hyde Fundraisers were back in Manchester for a special charity night at the Museum of Science and Industry. The event was a huge success with over 200 tickets sold and some amazing interactive Dr Who experiences for those who attended.
The event saw me giving a full debut to the new Brannigan costume as well as doing scenes as a Scarecrow, Clockwork droid and Robot Santa! A report on the event can be found on The Hyde Fundraisers site.

Two new Scarecrows made an appearance on Aug 11th as the Hyde Fundraisers were back in Manchester at the Doctor Who Up Close exhibition. We now have four of these popular characters finished and I hope to have the fifth completed in time for our appearance in Blackpool on the 31st Aug/1st Sept.
Please note None of the replica costumes and props I make from the BBC television series Doctor Who are for sale, nor do I undertake commissions to produce these items to order. The props and costumes shown on this site are for sole use by The Hyde Fundraisers with kind permission of BBC Worldwide and BBC Cardiff.
